The first Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin with Sergei Korolyov, Soviet scientist and designer in the sphere of rocket building and cosmonautics. Ballistic and geophysical rockets, the first satellites, the Vostok and Voskhod spacecraft were all created under Korolyov’s direction.
